Experience & expertise

Martin has been a CIO in FTSE 100 or global private companies for most of his career. He was voted one of the UK’s top CIOs for 4 years running from 2007 to 2010 and, as well as UK experience, has worked in South East Asia, India and the USA delivering transformational technology enabled change across different cultures.

He has multi sector experience across airlines with BA, FMCG with a decade at Mars, and CIO specific experience in chemicals with Courtaulds, in the music industry with EMI, in telecoms with C&W, in financial services with LCH Clearnet and BarclayCard, in security with G4S  and in BtoB software with Microfocus.

Background & approach

He has also been a NED on a UK government organisation engaged in Police and UK security, and currently operates as an advisor to an Australian based Cyber Security company. He has got scars and bars from the heavy lifting required to drive platforms together after M&A, from the leadership of offshore supported programme development, and from radically improving performance in global IT teams.
