Experience & expertise
Mark joined Freeman Clarke in early 2020, following over twenty years’ experience in commercial IT leadership roles. He has worked in both privately owned and PE/VC backed businesses, in a number of verticals, primarily Retail, Payments, Logistics and Legal.
Background & approach
He is very customer focused – the Retail grounding – and has specific experience in tight cost and budget management, maximising benefit from infrastructure and systems assets, and solving business problems through technology. Keen to embrace technology developments, he was part of the team that launched one of the first retailer ecommerce websites in the UK, and (much) more recently led the team that built the first AI-powered virtual legal assistant.
A problem solver by nature, and a developer and project manager by training, through his career Mark has advised and designed solutions for stakeholders at all levels in business, and can communicate technical strategies and concepts clearly.
Mark is a Chartered IT Professional (CITP).
