John has 20+ years of experience in both management, operations and technical roles having delivered impactful business and customer solutions and technology transformations.  John has built technology teams and has managed the sale and merger of a number of technology centric businesses, having delivered effective technology roadmaps providing innovative products and services with high business and customer impact.

Background & approach

Previous projects include delivering global marketing sites, establishing customer focussed technology cultures, international eCommerce solutions and expanding a market disrupting SaaS business and has held senior technology and business management positions ranging from CIO, IT Solution Director, Head of IT and Operations and Managing Director.

With a desire to drive business change by aligning IT to the business strategy John ensures value is optimised and suppliers are effectively managed.  He has also implemented ERP, managed IT operations and led agile product and development teams delivering multiple online products.

John has worked for start-ups to international medium enterprises within the travel, property, banking, psychometric assessment and training sectors.

In his free time John likes to spend time outdoors running or cycling, having recently competed in marathons and triathlons.

He holds a remote sensing and Geographic Information System PhD from Plymouth University.
