Meet your Chair

We asked Steve to give a few words about himself:

My career experience is in technology and leadership roles and my enjoyment comes from helping people and by extension helping companies. So I excel in roles where I bring technology and people together. I thoroughly enjoy my role with Freeman Clarke where I get to do exactly this with a great team. My style is direct; I like to get to the point. But also fun; I’ll often use humour to dispel tense situations and maintain momentum.

I’ve enjoyed success working with all sizes of companies and working at all seniority levels, maintaining relationships based on trust and integrity. I’ve lived in the UK and the USA as well as enjoying assignments in Argentina (one year) and India (five years). I find it immensely enjoyable meeting new people and experiencing different cultures and perspectives.

I love helping others and have a fascination with people. Over the past ten years, I discovered a passion and natural ability for Executive and Career coaching that feeds this interest and led me to training and qualifying as a Gallup Strengths Coach. Leveraging my own broad experiences, including knowing when to push and when to just be quiet and listen, to help trigger beneficial change in others is something I find incredibly fulfilling.
