David Sloly

David helps leaders understand how AI impacts their industry, sector and business. From AI labs roadmaps, to how your competitors are leveraging the technology. With thirty years of experience in communications and five years in AI, he uses his knowledge to help leaders understand how transformative technology will impact their industry, sector and business.

He studied AI at the Said Business School, University of Oxford, and has since created a number of AI business solutions for enterprise and NGO’s. David is motivated by transformative technology and business, and his first book, Zoom! The Faster Way to Make Your Business Idea Happen was included in Independent Newspapers’ Top 10 Business Books. He has given talks on AI and futurology at SXSW, TEDx, and various global events.

Mark Boulton

Mark Boulton is a technology and marketing expert, entrepreneur, author and mentor. Mark originally trained as an advanced systems design engineer before pursuing a commercial career in sales and marketing. Mark has started and run multiple businesses and has spent the last 25 years working in senior sales and marketing positions for some of the world’s largest brands. In 2019, Mark worked as CMO for one of the first generative AI companies, successfully selling their revolutionary product to hundreds of Tier 1 brands including Virgin Atlantic, eBay and Saks 5th Avenue before the business was sold to PE investors.

Mark now works as a fractional CMO for The Marketing Centre and is also in the process of writing his 2nd book: “The Elephant in the Room”, which guides non-technical leadership teams through the critical process of introducing and living with AI.

Richard joined The Legal Director in 2025 and brings over 25 years of experience leading in-house legal teams in the technology sector to provide effective, practical, actionable and pragmatic legal services that identify and help achieve business objectives whilst managing risk. He has worked extensively for US public technology companies, with specific experience of creating and scaling legal functions in Europe within hypergrowth environments that are demanding and fast-paced.

Richard is known for being a generalist lawyer covering a broad range of matters such as data privacy, ethics and compliance, employment and real estate. Richard is also an early-stage investor in a UK-based legal tech startup.
