Quanta Dialysis Technologies, based in Alcester, Warwickshire, provides devices and support services that improve dialysis experiences and everyday living for patients requiring dialysis. They aim to be the leading dialysis technology provider with devices that are simple and easy to use, giving the patient the option to either self-care, in-clinic or treat from the comfort of home.
Quantarecently commercially launched their first product in the UK with machines installed in four hospitals for renal dialysis, helping the NHS respond to the continuing issues caused by the pandemic – kidney failure is one of the major impacts in serious cases of the disease.
Quanta had a requirement to bring in a senior IT leader who could not only manage the delivery of the IT services butalso take the lead on strategic projects andcyber securitywhilst assisting with the commercial launch readiness.
Quanta approached Freeman Clarke and were introduced to a member of their team. An experienced IT Director quickly assessed the IT landscape, business strategy, risks, and existing IT suppliers, and developed an IT strategicroadmap.
The initial focus was on enabling the IT to support the growth of the company and the industry specific requirements for security and compliance. Shealso provided significant contributions to the development of the commercial target operating model and the supporting systems and patient portal thathas enabled the successful commercial launch.
She was also key in the delivery of business continuity plans, enabling all staff to work from home quickly and seamlessly.
John Milad, Chief Executive Officer, said:
