Established in 1995, Hydrock are one of the UK’s foremost consulting engineers. Hydrock are passionate about creating high-performing buildings and infrastructure and unlocking complex sites. With offices in London, Cardiff, and Edinburgh, and many points in between, the company takes pride in being a great place to work, where the value of each individual is at the heart of its culture.
Hydrock started working with Freeman Clarke in 2016. Freeman Clarke led a number of projects for Hydrock, starting with upgrading its IT infrastructure — a re-organisation that included networks and cloud solutions, as well as creating a service management culture within the IT supply chain.
Hydrock’s IT Department has grown in the number of supported systems and the scale of the projects. With Freeman Clarke’s help they have implemented improvements to way of working and IT is now seen as an enabling factor in their continued success.
Mike Yiannis, Hydrock’s Chief Financial Officer, says:
‘Freeman Clarke have made IT a strategic enabler, aligned with our business strategy. Our systems now provide much greater support for our staff, reducing wasted time, costs, and problems. The culture and practices within our IT team have changed radically, and they are now a critical contributor to our success.’
